About Church and Chetwynd Aston Village Hall
A community space for all
The Hall provides a community facility for the villages of Church Aston and Chetwynd Aston together with all of the surrounding areas and although financially separate, it is well supported by both Parish Councils.
The committee is formed from volunteers that meet regularly and is open to the public and we welcome further members or helpers.
The hall is a registered Charity, 522491.
It was extensively refurbished in 2020/1 with air source heating & cooling, 14kW of solar panels, a storage battery of 11kWh, LED lighting, significant insulation of walls and roof, hot water in the toilets and kitchen and electric hand dryers. The main hall and the Aston Room are fully air conditioned. The hall has been completely redecorated. The main hall has a wooden sprung dance floor that has been refinished in 2024. The main hall was fitted with a retractable large screen (3.5m X 2.3m), a projector, six speakers (one of which is a subwoofer) and a DVD player. This equipment allows us to show films, presentations, etc. We also have a separate PA system and pop-up staging (5m X 2.2m X 330mm) which is available for shows and presentations.
A meeting room (The Aston Room) has been created during lockdown is carpeted, with its own air conditioning and has a smart screen linked to the DVD player or wireless cast from your own device.
There is disabled access and toilets together with baby changing facilities.
There is a generously sized and recently resurfaced car park.
